Arabic Laberduni Rug. Silky, shiny, soft wool, a full pile and a floppy handle are the tactile characteristics of this big dark beauty. Dyes are saturated and all natural. There are all kinds of symbols including two-headed mystic rain birds, goats, chickens, protective 's's and plants. This is one of a set of three carpets that were probably woven by the same weaver or family of weavers and which were bought from a wealthy household in southern Iran. 295x212cms

Semnan/Mazandaran kilim, 245x148cms, begining 20th c. woven with extremely soft and shiny wool that seems like angora, this kilim portrays a Persian garden design with plants and irrigation channels. It is woven in two halves and has the following colours; terracotta, navy blue, black, ivory and burgundy, an elegant tribal kilim!
